This day our country was celebrating one of the greatest holidays, which called 9 of May. While all day, lots of people were greeting veterans with their day. On the streets, were lots of flowers, which called carnations, that are the symbol of this holiday. The music was hearing from all parts of Kiev. At ten o’clock was a parade, where veterans, were greeted by the citizens of Kiev. Before this day, a big amount of veterans, were honored by giving medals for bravery. All day people were bringing flowers to the Monument of Unknown Soldier. On the square was organized a great concert, were famous singers song the favorite songs about the war. While the concert veterans, were sitting near the stage, where they could with the artist sing their songs, which remained them their young years. Some of them even wore the form in which they were fighting. This day always make us to think about our grandparents, who did everything to give future generation peace, and serenity.
